Passing The Torch In The Unified Family

A new chapter is starting at Unified, one that’s been nearly five years in the making, which will catapult Unified to new heights.

When Jason Beckerman, Joshua Backer, and I founded Unified in April 2011, our vision was to change the marketing industry forever. When we set out to build the business I agreed to relocate from my home in Los Angeles to serve as CEO in our New York City headquarters. The three of us knew that as Unified matured and executed on its vision of unifying all marketing data, the time would come to transition the CEO role as I pursued new ventures closer to home - a plan that’s been in place since day one.

Today, I’m assuming the role of Unified’s Executive Chairman, and Jason Beckerman becomes Unified’s new CEO. Since the inception of Unified, Jason has been instrumental as our Chief Product Officer, defining product strategies, product vision and new market opportunities. Jason’s background in software, dating back to his days as an early employee at Salesforce.com, combined with a decade of proven success working with top brand marketers make him uniquely qualified to lead Unified into our next chapter as a leader in marketing and analytics software.

Passing the CEO torch to my co-founder after nearly five years gives me great satisfaction as I know that Unified’s business will continue to execute on its original vision. Jason and I have worked together for nearly eight years and I’m intimately familiar with what he is capable of accomplishing, which makes me excited for our future.

As Executive Chairman of Unified, I’ll remain active as an advocate, advisor and evangelist, and continue active participation as a member of our Board of Directors. This new role will allow me the flexibility to be closer to my family in Los Angeles and it also enables me to pursue new ventures.

Together, Unified’s founding team has accomplished amazing things and transformed the way Fortune 500 brands and agencies use marketing data to drive success. 2015 has been Unified’s most successful and transformative year, and 2016 will be bigger yet. I’m proud and thrilled for our next chapter!
